Phi Alpha Delta's Benson Chapter

2009 District Conference

Picture
On September 25 and 26, 2009 the executive officers and 4 other Benson members traveled to Columbia, Missouri for a fun filled fraternal weekend.  On Friday night, we had a blast and made some great friends out on the town with the other chapters of District VII as well as some pretty fabulous alumni.  Saturday we headed to Mizzou's Law School to learn about the fraternity and attend some very interesting lectures.  The high point in the day came when Benson Chapter formally received the Stanley H Kohn award (see picture)!  Benson Chapter was also awarded with a plaque for exceeding 100 initiates, and received 2 very beautiful certificates for increasing our membership by 50% and for being the Most Outstanding Chapter in District VII in 2008-2009.  Former Justice Mechtley also received his Justice of the Year award at the conference.  Benson Chapter is honored to receive all of these awards and owes all of our success to our members.

Kevin Mechtley, Benson Chapter Justice 2008-2009, was awarded the Justice of the Year Award this past August.  This award is based upon general leadership ability, administration of professional programs sponsored by the chapter, social programming, and chapter recruiting activities.  Kevin is very flattered to recieve this recognition, but as always attributes his sucess to the chapter.  Benson is very proud of Kevin!

Benson Featured in New Reporter!

Picture
We are happy to announce that Benson was featured in the most recent edition of the Phi Alpha Delta Reporter!  An article was printed about the accomplishments reached throughout the year in recruitment and programming.  It highlighted some of the most successful events and talked about ways that we were able to recruit through programming.  Our goal was to make P.A.D. an organization for everyone, and we believe we accomplished this by providing something for everyone with a wide variety of events.  It was great to see our Chapter mentioned among many of the other great Chapters' stories.
